Brutus' Downunder

Found these reviews when searching the Funcoast for places to go since I just recently moved back to town. The previous reviewers (purplewaterhorse ? what the hell is that) must have been smokin dope because this place was a dump! I went in on a Sat. night and the place was dead! As for cute girls, there were none to be seen anywhere. The dude behind the bar was cool and tried to explain that it was usually not busy in the summer. I asked about the outside patio that was going to be built and he said it was still just a plan. I probably would have stayed around for the so called power hour until a cockroach followed by his friends ran across the bar. That was it for me. I wouldn't go back and I wouldn't even think of eating there after I saw those critters. I went there based on those reviews. It makes me wonder who would write such crap!      P.S. the band was LAME.

Check this place out. I would have never thought that they would be happening again. Cute girls and good prices. We went there thinking not much would be happening at it was packed. There were more people my age there and not older ones. It was great. Went back on Saturday for the power hour from 10-11 for 1.00 bombs. Great bands too. Dance to everything. Check them out for new faces and a cool new hang out.

Hey you should really check this place out again. It has so changed. They have an awsome thing on Saturdays called "Power Hour" $1.00 Drafts and $1.00 bombs. They are even putting a patio in for the summer. Check out their lives bands. There was an awsome one in there on Friday called Victory Blvd. Completely awsome I would say one of the best bands that haved played in this area. The crwod is even a younger crowd again. Really check them out. It looks like the pump has thier work cut out for them. New place with different faces, lets start doing something different guys. Lets see what this new management can do for us. Yea.

We went back --- it wasnt just a one time thing-- the Power Hour is soo cool. Jaeger Bombs for a dollar for an hour (i forget what time) after a couple , we danced all night to a great band. Maybe its just us but it feels different in here-- like more fun-- younger . We are glad we have some place else to go because we were getting bored with the same old crowd and the clicks that go the usueal places. We really like it hear and my girlfriend was happy that the make some crazy drinks since she likes to play stump the bartender! So-- if you are looking for a cool place to go and see some great bands and some new faces--- check this place out. We know it must not be just us-- it was packed.

Hay guys... this place has changed! Its great ! We got there late after going to the diner and the movies and just didnt want to go home so we thought what the heck, we will stop here for a drink and go home. We ended up closing the place (the POWER HOUR helped-- BOMBS FOR $1!!!) for a whole hour and then we danced all nite to a great band. The crowd was more our age (late 20s-- thirty somethings) and its going to be our new hang out. We asked the bartender if it had changed hands or what and she said -- absolutely --- Alisha Hermes has brought life to the place and it is rocking! They say she is going to make lots of changes like a patio and great bands. We heard something about a Jeager PJ party coming up so we will watch for that. This place is happening... I am glad we decided to stop in. Sorry Pump...they have better food too.
